Behle 1933 Coyote Peak, 3000 ft. Humboldt County California. June 8- to our location and made permanent camp. We are located on top of the ridge near Coyote Peak at an elevation of approximately 3000 ft. According to our map, we are located 16 miles by air line directly east of Patrick's Point on the Pacific Coast. The property here belongs to H.E. Sythes. We met his daughter herding sheep last night and she said coyotes had been killing lambs. The government men had not been engaged in control work here for some time June 9- 50 traps (40 mouse and 10 rat) set last evening got 13 Peromyscus subidus from small cavern at base of Douglas Spruce; 17 Peromyscus m. subidus from under large fallen log on NE facing slope; 19 Sorex trowbridgi from little mossy nook under fallen log near bottom of gulch. These 3 specimens were all taken at about the same altitude - 3000 ft. Since our arrival at this location
