Behle 1933 Home Mt. 4700 - 5000 ft. Humboldt Co. Caly. June 3. at 4:45 P.M. was 35° F 80 traps ( 50 mouse and 30 rat ) but one ? peotoma [illegible] taken on rocks in dense Huckle- berry oak thicket 10 ft. from nest. [ ] The [ ] was taken here last night[?]; one [ ] Peromyscus maniculatus subtile Taken among litter of bark, pine needles and small sticks in bottom of small dry wash; one [illegible] tlowbridgii ? taken in small cave at base of rock among Huckleberry oaks and nowhere near water although the habitat was damp. The yield is very poor. There is no twigs of vegetation on the forest floor but woodrat nests are numerous. I saw very few birds in my walk yesterday there being one western Robin, 3 Audubon warblers, 1 western Blue bird, 1 Mountain chickadee, 3 Oregon juneos, 2 Red-shafted Flycatcher, 4 Western Tanagers, 1 golden eagle, 2 Blue-fronted Stellar Jays; 1 Raven 1 Wright Flycatcher. Other birds seen at this locality so far as: hairy Woodpecker; Townsend's Squirrel, Sooty Grouse, Olive-sided Flycatcher
