Behle 1933 Home Mt. 4700 ft. Humboldt Co, Calif. June 2 often in bushy stands but in the bottom of some draws and around rock outcroppings attains a height of seven feet. Three kinds of manzanita have been noted and one form of ceanothus. Few flowers are in bloom. One gets the impression that spring is just approaching. The summit of Home Mt. is heavily covered with snow banks especially on the north side. Evidence on the trunks indicates the snow was about six feet deep last winter. The drifts now are 3 + 4 ft. depth. Snow below camp at I judge 3700 ft. there is a large open area appearing very green and along the western margin is a grove of oaks which extend up the ridge upon which I was several hundred feet. June 2- Last night cold. Early in the evening the clouds and mist settled down over camp but later on during the night it became perfectly clear with a cold wind blowing. The temperature
