Behle 1933 June 2. a minute or two. It was unquestionably a D Flocker. The white rump patch showed conspicuously in flight as did the reddish under surface of the wings. The breast seemed heavily blotched with black against a grey background and the black throat or heart patch showed up strikingly. The bird was shortly joined by its mate, a larger bird that sailed in from the N.E. They stood side-by-side and appeared to rub bodies and heads together then the first bird flew off down the hillside out of view followed by the second bird. Once from a distance shortly after a call was heard. Half an hour lapsed and they didn't return to the hole.
