Behle 1933. Horse Mt., 4700 ft. Humboldt Co. Calif. June 1- 103 ♀ Blue-fronted Steller jay 118.79. Shot in dense timber at bottom of gulch, 4700 ft. Ova (one) ⚪ Front of breast muddy as though it were building a nest. 104 Sceloporus graciosus 5000 ft. 105 ♀ Audubon Warbler - 13.0g - ova ⚫ Taken from lower branches of Douglas Spruce. 106 ♀ Wright Flycatcher 10.8g ova ⚫ Shot from small yellow pine above clump of Manzanita at 5000 ft. June 2. 15 rat traps and 35 mouse traps set last night over 1/4 mile of ground in heavy timber. Placed in Huckle- berry oak thickets, rock outcroppings, base forest floor, on dead fallen logs and under them; in damp mossy places and at bases of living Incense Cedars and Douglas Spruces, got: 1♂ Peromyscus manicu- latus rubidus taken from shallow depression at base of Incense Cedar where the dirt was dry; 1♀ Peromyscus maniculatus rubidus from underneath Douglas Spruce log where it was dry.
