Taken in gilmores trap line in the dense Timber. 101. garter snake caught in mouse trap at water edge beside large rock: Trap line of Grinnell and Behle (81 traps) caught this afternoon one Sorex thowbridgii under 3ft log 25 ft. from water-damp & mossy. caught in same Trap and same place as previous shrew on this line; one garter snake (above) and one Sceloporus occidentalis taken in mouse trap at water edge among dry litter and leaves (destroyed)
