13 Apr.14. Took Beginner's Class to head of Strawberry Canyon. Beautiful day. Mosquitoes gone. (I mind last night.) Birds very ab. Snail Flicker, W. Flycatcher, B. Phoebe, Redtail, Vigors W., (House W., Thrasher heard), Wren't, Bush-tlf, Titmouse, Anna H., Allen H., Rufous H., Paleolated, Lutescent, Tolmie, Townsend Warblers, Warbling Vires, Cal. & Coast Jay, Br. & Sp. Towhee, Song Sp., G-c. & Fox Sparrows, Grosbeak, Nuttall Sp. (Bot. Gardens), Bluebirds(Bot. gardens) Hermit Thrush. Apr. 15. Finished Bird Lore Report. Migrants throwing out but all winter visitors except P.C Knight still here. Warm. Apr. 16. Warm. Gave talk in evening at Women's City Club. Apr.17. Went to Boulder Creek. Black-throated Gray Warbler and Olive-sided Flycatcher abundant. Apr. 18. Returned to Berkeley in the evening. Cooler. Apr.19. Much warmer. Hot in middle of day. Birds very quiet. Apr. 20. Not.
