W. Warbling Vireo - Redwood Canyon, Suel & Calaveras Valley along stream. Cassin Vireo - only one heard near Calaveras Creek. Lutescent Warbler in Redwood Canyon Yellow Warbler - on Calaveras Creek Palmie Warbler - in Redwood Canyon W. Yellow-throat - in callants above Suel. Cisolate Warbler - in Redwood Canyon & on Calaveras Creek. Richmujes Blackbird - near San Ramon W. Meadowlark - a few before we reached Redwood Canyon. Brewer Blackbird - one or two flocks flying close together - also single birds or in groups on ground. Black-headed Grosbeak - Redwood Canyon & Calaveras Valley Suel. Leyuli Bunting English Sparrow - Suel. Calif. Purple Finch - Redwood Canyon and Calaveras Valley. Lunixt - every where - Nesting under tiles at water temple at Suel and water tower in Calaveras water tower. Green-backed Goldfinch - common. Only goldfinch seen except Lawrence Goldfinch at Mrs G's Riding Academy. Parus Sixtin Spotted Towhee - each strip except on grassy hillside high. Brown Towhee - Junco (St. Pious) - on high hill (wooded) on road up to Col. dam. Chipping Sparrow - most abundant at Mrs Graham's (horse barn) Mutilt Sparrow - none after we left Mt. Blvd. Song Sparrows - Redwood Canyon and Calaveras Valley. Did not happen to see Bush tits or skrikes. 56 species. May have been Phamopeplas above Suel.
