July 1 (cont) Strongly, there was no place to eat in Kotzebue (or Saturday night) except "Little Petri Cafe" where we obtained hamburgers.
July 2 Same problem getting breakfast in Kotzebue on Sunday morning; however, Wieni Tourist Hotel fed us.
left Kotzebue - flew along coast to Cape Thompson - weather cloudy - a little scattered rain - 1200 - landed at Cape Thompson. Met Frank Williamson, an employee of Alaska Public Health Service, and one of Sitelkai students. Williamson has been working on nesting studies in this area. He showed us some of his nest diagrams. Ate lunch with Williamson.
1340 left Cape Thompson.
landed at . This station is restricted, we had to sign in giving our destination and other information. left for Barrow. Weather was still bad - rain, cloudy. Flew between cloud layers for awhile - ground below and sky above were obscured. We went down through the clouds until the ground was in view, then continued on to Barrow.
1830 arrived at Barrow. Brewer and Scheindler were at the airport. Talked about the trip. Unloaded gear from plane to jeep and returned all to the lab.
