Sullivan, J. 1961 Phoca vitulina June 18 Barrow, Alaska. In an area where the water flows across the road (cutting it) from Family Lagoon to the ocean there was an eskimo boat with 2 seals by it. The smaller was a harbor seal (about 3 1/2 feet long); the other a bearded seal. The eskimos are reported to favor seal meat above other.
