Lemmus trimucronatus avian predator might be stygnied - but a fox ought to be able to secure it. However, most of the torn open burrows that I recall en- countering have been the work of man as far as I could tell. (see also - journal). july 12 Captured an adult & Lemmus in the same general area described above. Decided to bring this animal back to Barrow. Placed her in a waste can and supplied her with: Cab bow, Tittus, celery + apples. Mammarium were not prominent, a little blood around vagina - but no copulation plug evident. Animal seemed to do all right in captivity. july 15 Placed above Lemmus in the animal house.
