Plectrophenax nivalis Sullivan J. 1962 Barrow, Alaska 17 June A pair of snow brentge are nesting in the wagon at Lake Lkrovick. The nest is within the air vent - you can slide back a door from the inside and look right into the nest. 18 June High polygon area where Beach Ridge joins gas line (near live traps) - with Hance. saw a snow brenting (or) fluttering above a polygon. The bird was holding his position just above a small moccnel on the polygon. I thought he might be feeding a mate. Approached the nest, and the & flew off. The pair remained in the area (within 25 yards). Found the nest under a mound on top of the polygon - 5 eggs.
