Sullivan 1961 Ereuneter puillier - semipolmatid Barrow, Alaska June 9 Voice - sounds like a motor, or airplane prop - a continuous noise. Central marsh w/ Holmer. June 11 Walking along gas line - semipal calling + displaying. June 12 South of drum area. At least 3 birds singing. June 13 While placing live traps - heard the motor like song of puillier. June 14 At live trap area near ARH, 2 semipals ran in front of wheel (distraction attempt). The birds crouched low to the ground and ran side by side 1-3 ft apart, 5 or 6 ft in front of the vehicle. (08/15) June 15 A pair of puillier were seen at live trap area. June 18 0840 - a puillier was caught in a snap trap in line III A. July 13 Pitt Point, Alaska - a semipal displayed this afternoon by a lake south of the station. Sunny and some wind. July 14 Pitt Point - 3 more semipals giving a half-hearted display at Dry Lake today. Flew up all at once fluttered, sang, clifted down repeatedly.
