June 10 On trip north of ARL w/ Holmer toward village of Parme
saw 3 old squaw - sitting on water.
June 12 By road enroute to central marsh - a pair of o.r.
in water by roadside. ♀ olived. After 20 secs
♂ also dived, (♀ still under).
At central marsh - another pair in a
pocket of water on beach ridge (11 AM).
Chamberlain wanted a blood sample - fired
and missed just as birch got up and flew
off to east.

bridge as you leave ARL area. Bathing +
sitting on water.
June 16 Family Lagoon: at 1600 this afternoon I saw
a ♂ Clangula out on the open water. His

searching for food. A red phalarope swam
fairly near the duck (25 feet).
June 19 A flock of 21 old squaw were seen by Holmer and
