June 11 6 birds - 3♂, 3♀. Walking Toward central March from the west, I saw the eiders sleeping. As I neared them (150 yds) they became alert. Waddled into a pool away from me. I squatted and observed after approaching to within 100 yds. All except 1♂ began bathing feverishly (displacement?). All birds made flight intention movements - race on tail - flapped wings a few times - settled back in water. After 5 minutes They flew off. a ♀ in the lead. June 15 While inspecting trap lines on beach ridge (0800-0830) I happened to see 2 pairs of stelleri take flight from a small pond. They flew about 150 yards north and alighted in another pond. Some 10 minutes later as I neared the birds, I scared up 3 more stelleri (2♀, 1♂). These flew past the other 4 which also got up, and the 7 flew up, circled to the west flying low (10ft)
