Mark and recapture in horizontal position ① Set traps, nestled well so that trap doors flush with runway or ground surface ② Place cake of wet fresh green forage in box, along with a handful of surface litter (cut grass, etc). ③ Map plot. ④ For caught animals, in addition to marking: 1- date 2- trap number 3- mark applied to animal 4- sex 5- pelage 6- wt estimate Taken Also, for $,$, 7- pelvis up or cl 8- Feats + or - or lack. 9- direction, distance, & path of travel from pt of release (at trap), entered on map, followed by observation with 20 lots disturbance to animal as (see over)
