54 Journal Sullivan J 1962 Barrow, Alaska Day run. Kim and Steven to the Quarry Today for the second running of the Line. Live traps pulled in today. 17 August Barrow, Alaska -with Piper to the Fertilizer Plot to pull in VIII and XIV. Helped him set lipin- exters and clip, etc. Apparently this is part of Van Clevi (?) study. Remaining droppings are set out over the circu- deterioration, loss of elements, etc - in checked. 18 August Barrow, Alaska Finished point sampling at Fert. Plot today. Put things in order for departure on 20 August. Packed some longspurs wings which were collected for Maher (from trap-line catchers). Maher is going to try to determine age of longspurs taken by juncers and owls by matching the beemeres from the collected wings with its connecting socket (acetabulum) in his pellets - collected previously. 19 August Barrow, Alaska. Packed up and worked around Lab in preparation for departure tomorrow.
