28 July (cont). What I had graphed looks like this:
This graphing did not differentiate
green from dead kits, nor indicate
spp. composition. Schultz wants
separate graphs for green & dead kits.

This evening Kiner and I pulled in Lines
XI + XII, completing the second scanning of
the Barrow Line. There was a happy hour
for the Peyton's, who are leaving tomorrow.
29 July Barrow, Alaska
Fog has lifted somewhat today, and the
Win plane comes in (didn't make it out Friday
as Saturday). Schuette and Peytons go out on the
plane. Working on notes in Lab this afternoon.
Piper came in and announced that A.M. Bailey
had arrived at Barrow, and would visit our
Lab. Kiner & I were present; Holmer, in the field,
Piper went to look for Bullen. Half an hour
later Bullen came in with Bailey, Brower (Tora), and
Wellu - (an unknown). They looked around and
chatted for 5 minutes about the "old days". Bailey
seemed very relaxed and personable, Brower
appeared affluent, and Bullen carried the
conversation. Later Holmer went into Brown-
ville to talk with Bailey.
