17 July (cont.) morning. A fair breeze + OFF help comfort
mosquitoes. Took point samples by high
Polygon area on beach ridge near your line.
With Gary Stevens this afternoon - set
out snap trap lines III A+B, IV A+B. Central
portion of IV A+B still wet - shoe packs
sink in a couple of inches.
18 July Barrow, Alaska
Checked trap lines, with Stevens, this
morning. 4 Lemmings taken, including one
juvenile. Day: clear and sunny, fairly warm.
To Voth Area with point sampling apparatus
this afternoon. 3 quadrates (2.2 x 2.2 meter)
here. Took a sample inside + outside the
first. Also worked on marking pins to
facilitate use in the field.
A mark, every 1/2 cm. (Scratched in w/scale)
