37 Journal Sullivan, 9 1962 Barrow, Alaska 15 july (cont) a sort of depression between 2 elevated mounds here. The depressed area is moist and has a good grass cover - apparently a favorable lemming habitat at this time of year. All 3 animals were adults (20707, 1 F). The F had recently given birth to 6 young and was lactating. Went out to point sampling area on Beach Ridge and near gas line this afternoon. Worked on identification of grasses. Checked traps after supper. 11 july Barrow, Alaska Checked traps this morning - Talked to Schultz about Point Sampling - we will go out this afternoon and do a few samples. Schultz is flying to the Sarnu this morning, on the flight that is picking up Delivited. with Schultz to Point Sampling area by Beach Ridge - near the gas line.
