Journal Sullivan J. 1962 Barrow, Alaska 20 june (cont). Supposed to fly to Wainwright Tonight but fog moving in 21 june Barrow, Alaska 0810-0910 Checked live traps and snap traps - 1 subad of Lemmus and a or Longipus in snap traps. Temperature at 0800 : 36° by main body ARL. Met at airport maker early flight unlikely. Put up the Lemmus that was taken in the snap traps this morning. Checked live traps this afternoon. Checked snap traps after supper. 22 june Barrow, Alaska → Wainwright, Alaska 0800 Closed live traps in preparation for trip to Wainwright. Weather clearing by noon. Murphy to pilot Skinner and I to Wainwright in a plane 180. Skinner and I will set traps while Murphy flies on to deliver supplies to an outcamp. Skinner to be picked up on the way back. Left about 1430. Saw scattered bands of caribou (5, 11, ±30 in- dividuals per band). Grouse and owls not abundant though visibility is good. Very little snow around Wainwright except on the banks of the Kusk River. The Kusk in semi-open - some ice cover. Arrived around 1545 - signed in, and will break
