August 27. Took pin drop samples in areas on Beach Ridge,
Hi polygon (near Bar Line Ridge) and Low Polygon
near (receives silt). Today - Some snowfall interfered
with operation. Traps were empty this morning
but 1 jay & in line VIII this evening (1800-1900).
August 28 nothing in traps this morning. Took pin drop
vegetation samples at Hi Polygon area.
Snow had managed to warp wooden crossbar
in pin-drop apparatus - making movement
of pins difficult. Returned to camp for
F-27 flight to Fairbanks.
