sand locally, some purplish mottling locally about 3' from top. A doubtfully spherulitic zone comes in about 2' from base (Sample 2). Locally at top it is chiefly a light gray siltstone, massive, locally with gypsum stringers & yellow stems 17 0.5 to 1.0 Sandstone, fine to coarse grained, hard, dark gray, carbonaceous, weather brown. Locally has grainules & chips clstn and some fairly large clt+qtz grains. A massive bed. 18 9.0 Euvq. Interlaminated, czrlk silts and very fine grained sandst & clean silts. Locally some massive clayey silts with plant frags and some silky dark gray to cbrn shale. 19 35.0 Sandstone, chiefly tabular, fine-grained to very fine-grained and silt, laminated to cross-lam. with interbeds lzm siltstn. It's pink + dark grains as well as quartz. Much ripple marking 37
