~1~ 4.0 Sedstone, fine-to medium-grained with, some irreg interbeds + partings sandy siltst., gray to brownish with plant frags. Sandst, chiefly massive btwn pths, beds to 1.0ft, shot with vertical tubes from surface disconf above. weathers to crumbly ledge of yellowish to brownish gray. 2.8 Siltstone, gray, carb. flecks, massive to irreg lem., locally, becomes sandy upward grading to SS above, and to shale below, weathers light gray, yellowish stain + orange Fe stain on joints + fracture surf. 1.0 Shale, dk gray to black becoming silty at top 2.0 Coal and coaly to ligmatic shale with 0.1- light brownish clay band 0.6 from top, and another loc. at base 1.7 Chystone, silty, black, loc. coaly. 2
