Mayoworth Section - Dip Begins within Rusty beds, measured down 0.6 to 1.0 Siltstone, Fe-imprcig., "fucoidzl", caps slope locally, brown to red- & purple- brown. 5.6 Shale, qrvy to black, fissile, some thin interbeds & lamine of silt, local Fe-stone concretions 5.6 Shale, clay, dzkt gray & gray, weathers 7907 to popcorn crust. (Samples 1+2) 0.5^ Siltstone, Fe-imprcg, to ironstone - intermittent concretionary, but silts fairly continuous. 18.5 Shale, dzkt gray to black, interbedded with thin layers siltst., chiefly in upper 10 feet, but some scattered throughout. Sample 3 = 1.0 to 3.0 from base. 2.0 Shale, silty, dk gray, irreg. interbedded with thin layer, lamine, & lenses of siltst. and ss. latter locally coarse to finely calc. Calc layers rippled & worm-tracked, czvb interbeds "wormy" 1
