Section D. Measuring up from top of bzzzl siltstn zone (unit 3 Sec A) in Fall River. 14.0 +/- Szudstone, fine-grained to very fine-gr locally s siltst. Chiefly platy with interbeds softer silts. lower 4' + some resistant Fe-impreg. beds. At top is silt to fine st buff, more massive, tabular, with rip-mkd bedding loc. - this unit at least 4'thick 1.0 Lignitic shale 2.5 Shale, gray, thin OB stained silt interbeds. 1.0 + Szudstone, fine-grained, loc. Fe stained 1.2 Covered 7.3 Clzystone, light gray, silty to sandy at base becoming gray upward, spherulitic & stained OB to yellow & red; upper 2.5 ft dk-gray to black at top. In base, soft rusty coecs. made of masses of spherulites.
