Hermosa area Billover Creek section of Fill River Connected exposures in N wall of Billover Creek N1/2 SW1/4 NE1/4 Sec. 13, T2S, R7E and a small knoll to E, include practically a complete Fill River section. In stream cut marked lateral changes show SS lens coming in at contact from W to E and below contact from E to W. Two sections measured to show this. OK 11th Section 17 A. West end of cut about 35' E of pinchout of upper channel. * (No E dip assumed, may be too much here.) Rest un toped. Beginning in the Lakota & measuring up. Slopewash. (1) 5.0'-? Siltstone, hard, clayey, purple and light gray with irreg. zones and vein-like bodies of fragmental Fe-cemented clayey hard siltst. Upper 2.0' is light tan finely silty brittle clsts which grades to overlying unit. (2) 6.2' Claystone, gray to brownish gray and tan in lower half, and gray to purplish gray in upper.
