2.5 Partially obscured, lower 11.0+ is silty gray shale which weather[s] gray-white. Interval increases somewhat laterally as overlying channel-type SS thus locally. 23.0 Sandstone, massive x-lzm to x-bedded. X-beds locally 15 NW. dip. SS is fine to fine-mod grt, mic. loc with brilliant red-purple- yellow stain in lower part, upper part weather[s] brown to gray white with top 3.0+ tabular, in beds up to 0.7, rip marked. Locally top bed is chertified, has oscill rips of about 0.5 wave length. Surfaces Fe purple impregn. Gravel covered flzt.
