Notes on Shops Canyon Fairly complete section could be had with broad offsets. Fall River - Strull Creek contact at reservoir - then thin ss beds underlin by vcr zone. Then bluff of SS - Evens quarry type & position. This overlies bedded lower Fall River - which is well exposed in NW SE NW sec. 30, T&S, R.6E , where it has well developed bszl silt zone and lies on greenish clstn - tho actual contact obsc. by slump. Further west up canyon in E½ NE SE, sec 25 T&S, R. 5E, on SW-facing bluff base Fall River has siltst and rests on 10+ ft of massive to tab x bedded, loc with "overturned" x-bedding. (BY the Red Gulch section the bszl Fall River silts are gone and FR ss sits on the massive at top (Lakota) Under massive SS are clzystones. Not dug out completely, but approximate section follows.
