Grass Roots
Road cut of U.S. 16- shows variation of
A, B, C units in part B, with the B
siltstone unit at base and silty
beds above. Locally however lateral
change makes it look as though
Fall River contact is near top of cut.
B unit of part B in road cut is is
white weathered, hezily stained
with yellow/red, has x-beds thin
Fe impreg. SS. and is capped by
a shale with carb remains, giving
a black on light gray vzricaged
contact. No Fe specks in beds below
this 'contact.'
