B 12.8 Siltstone, chiefly fine grn. thin bedded, with interbeds gray to dk gray shly siltst SS is 12m, to x-12m, has Fe impreg lzyeous locally, commonly at b250. and where thin sand lzyeous in the shly silt. Locally SS thins + intercal chiefly shly slope thin SS beds. A 3.0 Siltstone, shly, gray to dk gray, interbeds, thin, at time gr SS. Partially obs. Grass Roots Road cut of U.S. 16- shows variation of A, B, C units in part B, with the B siltstone unit at base and silty beds above. Locally however lateral change makes it look as though Fall River contact is near top of cut. B unit of part B in road cut is is white weathered, hezily stained with yellow/red, has x-beds thin Fe impreg. SS. and is capped by a shale with carb remains, giving a black on light gray vzricaged contact. No Fe specks in beds below this 'contact.' 31
