W-14 Sturgis section Pect A (Copper Rd cut) 23.0 Sandstone, massive cross-lam, to irreg thin-bedded + cross bedded, fine-med gr. Weatherous brown. carb frags. 4.0 Interbedded, siltstone, shale and sandstone. Upper 1.3 is white. weathy studdy siltstone with local thin beds sandstone Then 0.7 - 1.0 + dk gray shale with carb fragments. basal 2.0 + is silty white ss grading to ss, chiefly massive except at base where it becomes platy and grades into unit below. 3.0 Sandstone, thin bedded, fine gr, locally has 1.0 massive bed at top. Weathers gray br to OB. Forms shelving ledges. Lower 1.0 has interbeds of gray silty sh + siltst. carb frags 0.8 Shstone, gray, loc. shaly, soft. 17
