W = 13 Chin Crack section, examination Part A, Measuring down from massive bed which is locally 2nd ss ledge up from the base of the Fell River 2.0+ Sandstone, massive, fine-gr., somewhat micaceous, single bed no obvious structure, weathers buff with some OB stain. Locally with narrow vertical burrows. Contact with beds below locally cross- cutting, irregular. Forms ledge. 3.6 Sandstone fine-gr silty, and sandy siltstone; clayey, with carb.-flecks, grey, weathers light bluish to purplish grey with local yellow stain. Soft, chiefly wash covered, some shaly siltst. inter bedded. SS is chiefly in upper half. 1.2 Siltstone, shaly, and silty shale, with some thin beds siltstone, grey, flaky to blocky, clayey, carb flecks, weathers rusty to yellow grey. 0.5+ Sandstone, fine gr., laminated, ferruginous. Commonly single to shoiving ledge. 7
