Cleyey beds include a vericolored zone- chiefly red, which is in semcapprox. position in relation to upper FR ss as that at Rapid City znd, possibly, that in road cuts of Wyo III across N. Beavlodges in Crook Co. This zone should be fairly persrstant if it is a good genetic change. Worth checking its relative position in Devils Tower area. In Red Canyon Cr. cut an excellent exposure of channel ss coming in abruptly in upper part of cleyey zone and truncating the vericolored cleys. Cuts them out abruptly to W. Garland [cont.
