0 - 0.5 Ironstone, local scattered conc. cap of purplish redstone on underlying sand. Discontinuous 3.0 + Sandstone, very fine-grained to silty, locally varzible, some pieces z sandy silt. Commonly forms a thin ledge but locally frizble. Grades to unit below. 2.9 Siltstone, semihard, gray, blocky to poorly shaly on weather surface. Has some finely scattered, red mottler some yellow stern 6? 5.2 Claystone, very soft plastic to semi- plastic. Light gray to gray with orange-brown to red brown staining in splotches and powdery yellow vacuole-like stern. Spherulitic at very top and intermittently thrust. Sample #1 of uppermost 1 foot. 1.5 Claystone, continuous with above but dark gray, less plastic, finely silty, becoming lighter gray more silty downward.
