Local fos. Pestone conch's (Sample 1) 7787 11.0 silty Siltstone, irregularly platy with sandy layers but 3 zones of ironstone, one at top, others 1.7 and 8.0 from top. Weathers light gray with yellow stain. ?- 5.0 Clzystone, gray, silty at top grading rapidly downward. within 2 ft to light greenish gray mottled with red Fe specks and spherulite-like black blobs throughout most of it - at least upper 5'.
