11 6.5 Siltstone, massive and gray at base, with irreg, wormy to contorted bedding; above becomes irreg. plenty to locally shale; minor very fine gr sandstone in thin beds, sclattered. Chiefly gray-buff under brown wash.. Plant frags thought-scatt. At here is Fe impreg silt 0.2 - 0.4 with gypsum under? it, loc @ Festino, 10 1.7 Claystone, black, silty, becoming very silty in lower 0.7+ and lighter in color with yellow to tan stain-grades to unit below 9 0.8 2787/ Siltstone, clayey and silty - claystone, blocky tough, Fe stained red and tan, has spherulites ? (see sample #1) 8 2.3 Claystone, tough, silty, blocky, olive gray, slickensided, grades into units above + below, locally has Fe veinlets -and pockets of Fe specks (spherical) which are red stained. Laterally (to N,) [illegible] This unit is variegated with red and is a more pura claystone. 22.
