Tensleep B. Burl section across contact zone. Measuring down from base of SS of unit 3 of preceding section, which is here considerably more silty, platy + forms weak shelving ledge. 2.0+ Shale, black liquidic, grades to silty above, tough, finely silty with many plant frags at base. Grades upward into siltys ~? 3.3 Claystone, silty light grey with rootlets grading within about 0.4 to a light grey clayey siltstone - loc. Silty clay, massive with few stained areas + red splatches. 3.0 Siltstone and very fine-grained sandstone, irreg. bedded somewhat rugilaceous, with lt. ltrey silt + clayey silt loc. contorted laminae. Grades in lower part to dk grey clayey silt. Plant frags loc. abundant. 60
