clwm fossit (Sample 1) comes from the lower 4 feet of the unit. Plant fragments throughout. 3) 6.0 Sandstone, fine grained, upper 3 to 4' massive, hard, ledge forming, lower part becoming silty, interlaminated with grey silt, less resistant. 2) 7.10 Shale, dark-grey to black fissile weathers grey some brownish green. Finely silty with some thin interbeds and laminae of silt. 1) 0.3-1.0 Chiefly ironstone, locally interbedded Fe rumpo siltite, & ironstone, docs capped by cone-in-cone. Note: In the section the "upper contact" is probably out between SS of unit 3 and underlying beds of unit 4, or it is within poorly exposed unit 4
