10.0+ Partially wash covered, lower 3' is "lithic wacke" - a sandy calte. clystone melted red, purple & greenish gray. Grains may be from this 3' zone. Becomes more clzyer upward, mottled purple+gray to top-silty. 2.0+ Clzystone, hard, green, silty. 3.5 Clzystone gray, hard + sandy at base with large rounded qtz grains, becomes greenish gray lesssandy upward & in upper half veriegated with purple 4.0 hard Clzystone, silty to sandy as below, purple gray to bluish gray. 1.3 Clzystone, soft, olive, probably bentonitic flecks of orangored. 1.5 clzystone, soft, greenish gray, irregularly interbedded with med-course layers sand made up predom of chert grains. Locally a mixed clayey ss. Sand dominates-should precede 57
