Most red + purple variation
is in upper 3or4 ft. where
clay has greenish cast

reddish grey weathers to
yellow + red, has some
greenish grey zones. Zone
of concentrated spherulite.

Claystone, chiefly dark grey
in lower 2.0, becoming lighter
grey above. Soft, plastic, with
local Fe red+yellow splotches
from weathered spherulite
accumulations. Top in sharp
contact with carbonaceous sandy
siltstone - about 3' of it to sandy
ledge but grades with SS & IBwith it.
