grey, with Fe specs. which locally weather yellow giving intervals splotchy stain. Is locally clayey. (Sample #1) 2.1 Siltstone, grey to light grey, thin bedded,, upper 0.7 whitish shelly loc. Grades to silty shelly; and dark grey shale in lower 0.5, which grades through bentonitic zone to unit below, 1.3 Bentonite. 1.3 Liquitic silty clay seems liquite 5.5 Claystone, hzud, grey to light grey + brownish grey?i Darker shreddes in upper 3.0 where clay freezes plentifully, chiefly rootlets., This zone may be fair. not clay, but finely silty. Lower 2.5 is light grey silty clay with local concentrations of Fe blobs which weather out in irregular brown Fe clusters or mounds (Sample 2) -> 41
