Loc. W6 Mount butte. Starting at stratigraphy, highest part of butte and measuring down 513 Sandstone, med.gr., friable, ochrous - red to orange in thin xlam beds to x bedded) 5110 Sandstone, med.gr., massive ledge-forming with friable bands and cross upper 8.0+ commonly weather yellow-grey to buff, loc. caps ledge, but this too goes into friable red weather ss. In massive xlam beds, crudely tabular in faces with planes turning forsets approx 11 bedding, big xbeds Colouration variable, chiefly orange & red, considerable conc. Fe on bedding & xlam and scattered in very small hollow cores. At base about 1/2" layer + Fe stone. Pebble found in it but only one seen. 37
