Transcription
12.0 Shale, gray to light gray, fairly hard, silty with some interbeds silt in lower 5 feet. Weathered shaly to blocky and contains concretions of same material as matrix. About 5.0 from top are local silt conc. with fish and wood remains and black chert. Range in size from 4 x 1' to small head size. Unweathered shale of upper 5' is black, weather blue gray, plastic. (Spot sample #1, just over cone zone.) 0.7 Siltstone, locally conc. to stone clayey, hard, weather rusty brown. 10.0+ Shale, hard, blocky weather shaly similar to that below. Measurement to grass roots (Spot sample #2 of lower 1.0)
