grading to clayey siltstone 0.4 Siltstone, tough, clayey zone of Fe-stained, orange with red flecks and mottling. Gradational with unit below (+above?) 4.2 Sandstone, and sandy claystone. Highly visible zone character- ized by Fe accumulation in concretionary verniform masses, looks like sinter loc., also impregnates + coats some of sandsst. beds. Unit generally light gray clayey sandstone in upper 2, at which varies laterally to gray silty to sandy clay. This part has local lenses SS, and some pinkish Fe discoloration. Below this concretionary Fe most common, section sandier with interbeds of massive fine gr. SS, + sandy gray sh, locally Fe stained. This lower part markedly thin bedded to learn, compared with upper. 14
