Coming along the road toward the valley one has Toll both the chimney at Castle Rock most of the time in clear view. The distance from the depart to Toll both Rock is not more than two miles. Spent the morning with Mr. S.E. Barker. Looked over his negatives. Of the Green River pictures, only a few are present, and a set! May 30-99 Wednesday. Took the 8 A M train for Fort Fisher Arrived at 11. Mr. Benthesum the lesst. Left at Green River gave me a pan to Morgan one way which cost me $2.50 At Forest I learn that Eastman purchased the large fish and the bird for totally $400.00 for the Shaddersham's. Spent the afternoon with Craig at Twin Creek store. Saw many poor smelt fishes but nothing of value beyond one captured.
