The Magrden lies about seven feet beneath the surface in the midst of a blue-laced spring sending off about me-quart of water per minute. The drain is probably enough to permit of trenching fully only to take away this water but a cheaper method will be kept a hand pump at work. Mr. Scholle will allow the National Museum to dig on condition that the spring is replaced and the hole filled up. He will also take a little bonus which Mr. Guthurst thinks need not be more than $25.00 Lawn can be enjoyed here at 1pm $1.00 to 1/2 p.m. day if necessary I can board at Mrs. Scholle However it may be best to drive in and out to avoid Spring time.
