Melospiza lincolnii. Lincoln Sparrow. Shot an immature bird.
I saw one bird that I thought was a song sparrow.
Iridoprocne bicolor. Tree Swallow. Saw several, principally immature birds.
Cinclus mexicanus. Dipper. Water Ouzel. Saw one at the mouth of the creek
opposite camp.
Hylocichla guttata. Alaska Hermit Thrush. A pair had a nest near camp that
contained young ready to fly from the nest July 22nd. The nest was built
in a niche in a perpendicular moss-crown bank, and about four feet from
the bottom. I photographed the nest after the young left. There were four
young.
Merula migratoria. Robin. Saw two on top of the mountain, and several were
feeding on salmon berries near camp. These were mostly immature birds.
