September 25 - 1924 Thursday. Started in at the Downton enl[eromente] localiz[ion], 11/3 miles, 3/4 mile south of Broadge. First examined the feet block of Lower Cambrian white li. It is of the same li as the great block of Broadge. Shows much flow structure and the moring ature and the anormy. dolomite fragmets. Asked Prindle when this meta- orphism took place and after looking over the block he said before the time of Siltural in the Downton enl[eromente]. Everyone who has seen these masses comes to the conclusion, and yet no one knows of a Cambrian orogenic time. One is led to to this con- clusion because of the great metamorphism of the block, and another one close by with the same flow structure, contracted with the other li blocks more are seen there flow structure and none are drawn out. Neither knowing if from similar li blocks in the Clekstin[er] fault N.W., two of which have also been. How these great blocks got into the downton enl[eromente] is not known, unless they slide down hill into position, or fell from sea cliff. The
