Brandon, Vt., Sep. 27-1922. Wednesday, (authographic dict.) Spend the morning at Locality (N) one-half mile S. and S. of Brandon, in the Belliston formation. Saw the same thing as last July with Keith. Then drove to the western end of Loc. (N) at the little quarry beside the road. At this place Keith thinks the Bellman Town lies conformably upon the Belliston. After five miles but they are as little the Belliston was that no difference in formations can be seen. In the afternoon went to Loc. (D) about 3 miles S. E. of Brandon. Here increase exposures are shown of my three beds that are alternations of cinoidal li. with dol. a smgy. li. In the cinoidal li. there is much crystalline circular spots that suggest drawn out Raphidoma-like structures. In some cases they appear to be their nature for certain. If this is so then there is due far more fine material than in the Belliston and besides no fust, like those occur in the latter form- ation. Also there are here no cyphal forms. On the south side of the road there a little cliff and it is of shiny sandstones of my fine pair. At 3 P.M. concluded that one could do no more to tr advantage, and concluded to go on to Castleton.
