Brandon, Vt., Sep. 27-1922. Wednesday,
(authographic dict.)
Spend the morning at Locality (N) one-half mile S.
and S. of Brandon, in the Belliston formation. Saw the
same thing as last July with Keith.
Then drove to the western end of Loc. (N) at the
little quarry beside the road. At this place Keith
thinks the Bellman Town lies conformably upon the
Belliston. After five miles but they are as little the
Belliston was that no difference in formations can be
seen.
In the afternoon went to Loc. (D) about 3 miles
S. E. of Brandon. Here increase exposures are shown
of my three beds that are alternations of cinoidal li.
with dol. a smgy. li. In the cinoidal li. there is much
crystalline circular spots that suggest drawn out
Raphidoma-like structures. In some cases they appear
to be their nature for certain. If this is so then there
is due far more fine material than in the Belliston
and besides no fust, like those occur in the latter form-
ation. Also there are here no cyphal forms.
On the south side of the road there a little cliff
and it is of shiny sandstones of my fine pair.
At 3 P.M. concluded that one could do no more to tr
advantage, and concluded to go on to Castleton. SA to
