Drive to Orantm and then across the Minisquoi R.
to a little S.E. of Orantm to see the marble quarry in the
Minrosi. Sit a number of samples. [Later over this place
for a conf. contact]
Then a little south to Orantm Junction and here
saw the Champlain fault. See the Primrosi marble
overlie the Chazy marble. Thrust plane almost horizontal.
[Conast to the 18 on the lower Philopton section]
The Chazy is completely marcelized and at Fonda Quarry
is taken out for lime turning. Orantm has photo,
of the place of contact. Here in now crushing at the junction
such as one would expect. One sees a zone 2 to 4 inch
of the Chazy melted as if where and stull to the Primrosi.
In the Cave between the two seen this crushed little zone
one have ten much thicken. Neverthelso one sees almost
no change other than the marcelization of the Chazy
and some hardening of the Primrosi. From here to Fonda
Quarry the distance is somewhat less than half mile, but the
actual distance across is more guaranty mile. During Hunt's lake is about 20 feet.
Falls of Mill North through vertical Chazy li. with some
of drd. One-eight mile E., in the sticky costamoids dipping
Primrosi.
Then looked up the Primrosi-Beardmantum
contact near Lake Champlain to the S.W. of Parkers
Quarry. It is not or once exposed as near Orantm
Junction.
